Export Services for U.S. Shippers: From Pickup to Final Delivery

Explore export services for U.S. shippers, including ocean freight, inland transportation, documentation support, specialized cargo solutions, and shipment visibility.

Exporting from the U.S. involves more than securing space on a vessel. A delayed pickup, a missed port cutoff, or incomplete documentation can affect the entire shipment, even when ocean capacity is already booked.

At UWL, we bring transportation, freight forwarding, compliance support, and shipment visibility together to help exporters manage those moving parts, from the first pickup to delivery overseas.

Global Export Services Built Around Your Operation

No two export programs move the same way. Cargo requirements, shipping volumes, destination markets, and delivery timelines all shape the best approach. We build our transportation and forwarding solutions around those needs, rather than expecting every shipment to follow the same process.

Ocean Freight

As a licensed NVOCC and licensed and bonded freight forwarder, we arrange ocean transportation for full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) shipments. Our broader export capabilities also include bulk liquid and project cargo solutions, helping shippers find suitable transportation options for different commodities and destinations.

Inland Transportation

An ocean booking is only one part of the schedule. Cargo still needs to reach the port, often within a tight window. We coordinate drayage, full truckload (FTL), and less than truckload (LTL) transportation with ocean movements, supported by our U.S. trucking network and specialized chemical transportation capabilities.

Documentation and Compliance Support

Missing or inaccurate paperwork can complicate an otherwise well-planned export. Our team supports export documentation, filing requirements, freight insurance arrangements, and trade compliance guidance. For specialized shipments, we also bring experience in chemical cargo compliance and Customs House Brokerage, helping customers address regulatory requirements as part of the broader logistics plan.

Visibility Through WorldScope

Knowing where a shipment is matters. Knowing what's happening next is just as important. Through WorldScope, our supply chain visibility platform, exporters can access shipment tracking, transportation milestones, centralized documents, and reporting insights in one place, making it easier to monitor activity and plan around changes.

Specialized Support for Complex Cargo

Some products require more than standard freight arrangements. For chemical exporters, we offer logistics solutions for packaged goods, bulk liquids, and hazardous and non-hazardous cargo. Our capabilities include specialized equipment such as Flexitanks and ISO tanks, depending on shipment requirements, supporting commodities including polymers and plastics, petrochemicals and derivatives, base oils and lubricants, and specialty chemicals.

For temperature-sensitive exports, the condition of the cargo matters as much as its arrival. Our refrigerated transportation solutions bring together temperature monitoring, cargo visibility, food-grade handling, and dedicated operational support. We work with shippers to plan these movements through major U.S. export gateways while considering the specific handling and transportation requirements of each shipment.

Certifications & Compliance

Export compliance is not something to address only when a shipment reaches the port. Documentation, filing responsibilities, and cargo-specific regulations need to be considered early, especially for hazardous materials and other specialized commodities.

We operate as a full-service, licensed NVOCC and licensed and bonded freight forwarder. Our capabilities also include chemical cargo compliance and Customs House Brokerage. Our published credentials include IATA accreditation and OTI license #020340NF, supporting our role in international freight transportation.

Why Exporters Work With Us

Managing an export program means coordinating multiple providers and deadlines. Ocean carrier schedules, inland pickups, documentation, and destination requirements all need to work together, and a change in one area can affect the rest of the shipment.

We combine international freight forwarding, inland transportation, specialized logistics capabilities, and established ocean carrier relationships to help customers manage these connections. Those carrier relationships provide access to transportation capacity and routing options, including when market conditions or shipping schedules change.

Just as important, there's a person behind every shipment. A dedicated logistics coordinator helps manage communication, track shipment progress, and address operational questions throughout the move. That means customers have a consistent point of contact rather than having to piece together updates from multiple providers.

Who We Support

We work with U.S. manufacturers, distributors, and exporters moving both standard and specialized cargo to international markets. Our chemical logistics capabilities support products such as polymers and plastics, petrochemicals and derivatives, base oils and lubricants, and specialty chemicals.

For exporters handling temperature-sensitive products, our refrigerated solutions serve commodities such as fresh produce, seafood, dairy, frozen foods, beverages, and other cargo requiring specific temperature and handling conditions.

Simplify Your Export Operations

Whether you're shipping standard containers, chemicals, bulk liquids, or temperature-sensitive products, the goal is the same: having the right transportation, documentation, and people in place throughout the shipment.

We bring those elements together so your team can spend less time managing disconnected steps and more time focusing on the business ahead.
