U.S. & China declare trade war truce, putting additional tariffs on List 4 goods on hold; List 3 exclusion process begins

The U.S. and China have declared a truce in their trade war, as Donald Trump said he would hold off imposing an additional $300 billion in tariffs and the world’s two largest economies agreed to resume negotiations, Bloomberg reported on Saturday.

Trump told reporters that he wouldn’t put additional tariffs on China for the “time being,” and that he’ll allow U.S. companies to supply gear to Huawei.

At the end of the Group of 20 (G-20) summit in Osaka, Trump tweeted that the meeting with China's President Xi Jinping went "far better than expected."

We're still waiting for official confirmation and additional details from the White House and USTR.
