Extreme weather is impacting ports and container terminals across Northern Asia as the strengthening Typhoon Mitag makes its way through the South China Sea.

On Monday (Sept. 30), Taiwan shut down its financial markets and closed schools due to the storm. Airlines cancelled over 150 flights and several highways across the island closed amid fears of landslides and floods, Channel News Asia reported.
